The Welcome Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Welcome Church is a street church started by The Rev. Dennis Lloyd of Church of the Holy Apostles and The Rev. Violet Little, director of the Welcome Center at Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Philadelphia. Communion is brought to the people of the street as well as anyone who wants to attend the service. Services are scheduled on the last Sunday every month at 3:00 p.m. We gather in Sisters Plaza on the Ben Franklin Parkway between the fountain and the Roman Catholic Cathedral.
